Additional Clearance Request Letter

This is an example of a standard letter which is sent to rights holders who have signed SCOPE's customised contract. It asks them to authorise further items for clearance by signing a revised copy of Appendix 1.

Dear CONTACT,

I would like permisssion to add a further item to those already licensed by the COPYRIGHT HOLDER to SCOPE. This permission may be granted by revising Appendix 1 of our agreement dated DATE. I enclose two copies of the revised Appendix which I have signed. To grant permission you should sign both copies of the Appendix, keep one for your own records and return the other to me. The additional item appears at the end of the Appendix.

I hope you will continue to support the SCOPE project by granting this request and look forward to receiving this permission.
